Y.Z. Kami: Black Dome Jorge Fernandez Torres Giacometti and KleinY. Z. Kami created Black Dome, an iteration of his Dome paintings, in 2018. It recalls the concentric forms the artist saw in Persian architecture as a teenager, and later observed in Byzantine churches and basilicas. For Kami, the dome inspires contemplation and is a metaphor for the heavens.
