Behind them, a red backdrop flares with fire like forms, tongues, petals, or wounds radiating heat and pressure in a tight warm space. Faces slip between tenderness and aggression, beauty and monstrosity, both balancing a fine line which could tip at any moment. Teeth grating expresses internal resistance, suppressed rage, the unbearable friction between closeness and pain.
