In The Despair of Faith All Items hand-worked image where grainAcross various forms of media, Amy Gillies work utilises the possibilities of quotation and collage to connect lines of inquiry between the past and present. Her text based work is produced by collaging found source material such as art magazines and literary fiction. In the case of this work, a single line from her written work has been isolated and hand embroidered onto cotton. Having gone through multiple layers of mediation, the work is somewhat
