Exceedingly light for a reel at this price point....But be aware, whenever I saw pictures I saw that big beautiful handle grip you see above.....it looks so inviting....I bought a 2000 size and it didnt have that big grippy handle, just the smaller cheaper standard one......still a nice reel, but I dont get why they do not disclose that the handles vary per model
