If the the bass are keying in on bluegill or other small panfish for forage, the swim jig can be lethal
The lure can be cast or even flipped into the river on a short cast and then pulled or retrieved through the sweet spots, or it can be lowered into the water and jigged in deep, trouty-looking holes when you dont have a lot of room to work
Whilst I can't help but love fishing with nice gear, a spinning reel like this Daiwa Exceler 3000-HA brings me back to an argument that I often have with myself (come on, I work for myself and I sometimes have "important" meetings with myself so that I feel all grown up!!) - high end spinning reels are lovely, but would a 300 reel last three times as long as say this sub-100 Exceler
You chuck it out, and you reel it back in
Nope, the first colour I always ask for when Mads at Savage Gear and I are working on lures is white, whether its sample lures or lures we are taking to market and deciding on the colour choices
While these features make it deadly, their downfall is poor durability and at a higher cost
