I know this is not remotely technical, but if I take something like the Sufix 131 in their quoted 20lb breaking strain as my go-to lure fishing braid, when I run a different braid through my fingers I reckon I am pretty close to feeling how similar or not it might be in terms of thickness
Ideal for grouper, tilefish, snapper, halibut, etc
Cork provides the least secure grip out of those three materials, but is the most durable
If it feels jacked up, I strip off some line up to the undamaged section and retie my hook
Used it all season with no complaints
