Patients who report a severe delayed immune-mediated reaction (e.g., drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms, Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, drug-induced nephritis or hepatitis) should subsequently avoid the culprit drug, as this can be regarded as a contraindication to future use
