Call 999 or go to A&E immediately if you experience any of the following whilst taking naproxen and Wegovy together: Black, tarry stools or blood in stools (signs of gastrointestinal bleeding) Vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds Severe, persistent abdominal pain, especially if radiating to the back (possible pancreatitis) Chest pain, shortness of breath, or other signs of cardiovascular events Signs of severe allergic reaction (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing) Contact your GP or call NHS 111 for advice if: You need to use naproxen regularly (more than a few days per week) Gastrointestinal side effects from Wegovy worsen after starting naproxen You experience symptoms of gallbladder disease (pain in upper right abdomen, especially after eating) You have persistent nausea or vomiting that prevents adequate fluid intake You have a history of stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding You are taking other medications that may interact with NSAIDs (anticoagulants, corticosteroids, SSRIs, other NSAIDs) You have kidney disease, heart failure, or uncontrolled hypertension You are over 65 years of age and require regular pain relief You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy (both Wegovy and NSAIDs have specific cautions) Your healthcare provider can assess your individual risk factors, review your complete medication list for potential interactions, and recommend the most appropriate pain management strategy
